COMING TO THE NEXT MARKET — SEPTEMBER 26th

GROWERS, BAKERS, and CRAFTERS:

GROWERS

– Mitchell and Chris of FICKLE FIG FARM  ( 100% organically pastured pork (all types of cuts: bacon, chops, roasts, sausage [mild Italian, sweet Italian, and maple breakfast), kale, chard,  herbs, pies, eggs, jams)

– Bernadette Green of SOMETHING GREEN   (UV-pasteurized organic apple-pear soft cider (frozen).  This will be the last week for concord grapes and Bartlett pears.  Will also have ‘Music’ garlic, shallots, onions, red potatoes, cut flowers (tomatoes, cucumbers, etc..)

– Paul and Pam of WRAY CREEK FARM (eggs, kale, chard, beets, beans, cucumbers, zucchinis, pickled beets)

– Kristine Letsen of STONEFIELDS FARM (cucumbers, cauliflower, cabbage,  spinach, celery,  tomatoes, chard, kale, peppers.)

– Tina and Ashley of CORNER FARM & DEEP COVE CANNING (the last of the cherry tomatoes, Winter Luxury pumpkins, tomatillos (with salsa recipe) and autumn bouquets.  We have a few batches of Zucchini Bread & Butter pickles left and a new round of Plum and Lime Conserve)

– Al from ARDMORE GARDENS (lettuce, kale, chard, plants)

– Heather of HONEY BEET FARM (salad mix, winter squash, beets, hopefully carrots, and possibly apples)

BAKERS/PRESERVES:

– Kathy and Jane of FLOUR POWER ( their newest fresh fruit creation: peach-ginger muffins, and all your other favourites, including 6 types of bread: baguettes, multigrain batards, Levain boule, focaccia & soda-raised wheaten and raisin soda breads.)

– THE ST. JOHN’S UNITED CHURCH COFFEE TABLE (Organic Level Ground Coffee, tea, tasty little take-away treats)

WINE/CIDER: (Tastings now available at all listed tables)

– SYMPHONY VINEYARD  August Special sale in effect on a case of: 4 Pinot Gris, 4 Ortega & 4 Pinot Noir Rosé for $180; or 2 of the above wines for $30.(Rosé, Ortega, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris Wines – great summer sipping wines, perfect for enjoying on a sunny warm evening. Plus wines that complement the fabulous local fare sold at the market.)
